I had a whole strategic email planned this week, talking about copywriting inside your newsletter but something else came up. And I never email on Mondays. It's not my best day for metrics. But this one is really important to me and to you.
Friends, I may be biased but, here's what I know about emails.
Emails are in your control.
Your list is yours and under your control.
What you put inside your emails is under your control.
You can sell stuff inside your emails. A lot of stuff.
No one else can sell your list on you. No one else can randomly take your list away and then give it back with terms and conditions.
You and you alone own the data held inside that list and you can take it and put it wherever you choose to.
When social media is out there causing income chaos, don't forget about your old friend, email.
Oh, and backup your list once a month. In case you want to take that data and move it but you lose access to it.
