Okay, here are the highlights to this email, keeping in mind the ONLY goal I have is to get a tracked engagement on the books to get them out of the didn't open, didn't click segment.
- It's short.
- It's text only.
- It's got an easy click opportunity - the poll.
- The poll is collecting data in the back end for future use.
- It's personalized. So is the subject line that you can't see here.
- I offer a click to KU, which I'm also tracking because I have some books wide and some in KU and I'd like to segment my list to serve each reader.
- Did I mention it's short?
The follow up email only goes to those who do click and guess what? It's so super delicious and so segmented that you'll have to pick your jaw up off of the floor and guess what also? You'll get to see it next week. Sorry not sorry!
