Again, this email and every email until the end of the year, Reader is going to a quick read. I'm in Las Vegas. I have a love/hate relationship with this city. I'm not a gambler and I don't love crowds, but I do love live shows and creativity and there is a lot of that in abundance. Also, I love In and Out burgers and you can't get those in Canada so you know I'm heading there all week long. When I travel for work, I bring one business book with me to keep me learning, motivated and educated. I have three books on the roster and just let my instincts guide me. As most of you know, my writing has been up and down as far as the ability to allow my brain to write fiction and so in my heart, I knew the book I needed was Big Magic. Creative living beyond fear. And oof, I forgot my annotating tabs and deeply regret that because there are tear jerking gems pouring out of this book on fearlessly developing your creative brain. So, that's all I'm coming at you with today. If you can, read the book. Listen to it. Borrow it from your local library. You won't regret it. Then courageously write your emails with the creativity you've got. All too many times the authors I work with say they avoid emails because they suck at them, they feel vulnerable or they just aren't that interesting. I say courageously send yourself out there into the world using emails as your communication tool. Next week, I've got a fun series of emails on how to create tension inside your emails, your subject line and use it to get more emails opened. Holly PS I went and saw O last night and cried thanks to this book and the courage of those artists. So far, my favourite passage from the book has been the lead in..."Do you have the courage to bring forth the treasures that are hidden within you?" Elizabeth Gilbert by way of Jack Gilbert. (Big Magic) New Holiday Product Alert: 12 Days of Christmas Template - Romance Writer Edition I'm writing a 12 Days of Christmas email sequence for a client and thought, you know, maybe other authors would like one of these? So, I'm starting with the romance genre and I've created a very generic template for you to follow so you can deliver a 12 Days of Christmas or whatever you'd like to celebrate for however many days email sequence. But for this version, I've got even MORE for you! Inside this package you'll get:
The cost for this entire template is $20USD. And if you'd like one of these built for your genre, let me know and I'll make some tweaks but know that you can take the romance guide and make it your own fairly easily.
